I used to use this blog as a family activity blog, but it hasn't been used as such in over six years. So now it's my own personal diary/blog, for my random thoughts.... and for journaling travels with my sweet hubby, so I can review the good times later.

Found this pic of Mary Borrelli, flanked by her two cousins Louise and Mary, taken at the recent Family Reunion. Cousins rule!
Please help me find THE M Borrelli I am looking for. Was Mary Borrelli a flight attendant for Continental Airlines in 1970s? PLEASE email me and let me know! Thank you!
David left for Korea this morning and I miss him already. He won't be gone that long, the job contract is just through May with a possible extension til December. And besides, he doesn't even live in the same state as me any more, so what's the big deal? I think it's a Mom-Radar thing. He's flying out of my Mom Radar, and I won't be able to track him any longer, at least not as easily, ha! *sigh* Seems we can't wait for our kids to grow up and then when they do, it's WHAMMO we miss them so much.
First of all, THANK YOU to everyone who donated to bring Sherry to town for DadTate's upcoming surgery. June Tate, David Whetstone, Rickey Gans, Dave Tate, and Susan Walker have already sent in their money to help make this happen. Robin Dion and Tommy Tate have also pledged to donate. God bless you all, it means so much to Dad to have ALL his children here as he enters into this ordeal. Looks like DadTate will go into Mesa General Hospital on March 24 for the open heart surgery. He will be in intensive care after the operation for about a week, then probably another week or two on the telemetry ward, and then he will be able to go home. There is a 15% chance he may not survive the surgery, so we didn't schedule the surgery till the 24th so all the kids could arrange to be here. (That's why we took up the collection as mentioned above to bring Sherry over from Israel.) I know 15% sounds like a high risk, but there is a 40% chance he won't survive more than a couple of m...
Susan, Thanks for all the updates on Dad Tate’s progress. I understand that June has been doing a lot of the actual copy. Thanks to all. I had an Idea which may help, and I would like to share it with all of you. Naturally we are all concerned for Dad Tate’s health. In line with this, I would like to ask anyone who has some pictures of Dad Tate in daily life maybe with family or trimming the roses or such to post them on the web. Jimmy maybe you have some Pic’s, as you are always up to date on these things. I have read that as we are all so concerned, that it would be easy out of FEAR of the possible outcome, to portray to the mind of GOD a negative image of what we really desire. If for example, (and please don’t be offended by the example) when the American Indians used to have a rain dance, we'd say that they were praying “for rain”, but I am told that they were “praying rain”. The subtle difference is that instead of thinking that their crops were drying up in the field and the...
