Here Comes the Bride... and Groom!

Congratulations Scott and Rachel! Today marks the beginning of a new life for Scott and Rachel Tate. They were married today in Jacksonville, North Carolina, in the presence of family and friends. No word yet as to how the nuptuals were carried out, but I am sure that will be coming soon! In the meantime, all good luck and congratulations to both Scott and Rachel; may you have many long and happy years together!

Well, the ceremony is complete and Scott and Rachel Tate send their best wishes to all.
As for the "Family" that attended, there was only David Whetstone, David & Loni Tate and Mark Tate in attendence representing the Tate side of the nuptuals. David Whetstone was a groomsman for Scott and all went off without a hitch. Yeah!!!!!
Also, as a side note, Tuesday the 28th, Rachels mom was admitted back into Duke University Hospital. She had leukemia a year ago and it went into remission, however, it has popped up again and she will be in the hospital for at least 30 days to start with for chemo to try and put it back into remission. I hope she will have our prayers and good wishes.
I would have included a picture of the wedding as well but I don't know how to add.

In other news, Scott is recovering from being run over by an up-armoured HumVee while in the field. Doctors consider him extremely lucky to still have his leg since the HumVee weighed in excess of 12,000 lbs. They were conducting firing excercises and he was told to use the HumVee as cover for his position and it ended up backing over his right leg. Fortunately, he has only sustained torn ligaments and lots of bruising but his leg is still attached and he still danced at his wedding!

OH MY GOSH how awful for Scott but thank God he still has his leg!! Does he have any extra time with his new wife as a result (or did he have honeymoon leave scheduled anyway)? Or does he have to continue working with the hurt leg?

I have added you as a "Team Member" so you can add a photo, Loni, but if you can't see how to do it easily, just email it to me and I will post it. Or them, if you have multiple pics... stupid question, huh... ha!!
