Misc New Updates

  • Emily Tate is in Virginia visiting with daughter Robin and Jerry et al... will be back in Arizona probably this fall or early winter.
  • Matthew Walker (Jimmy's son) and Shasta Carlsen have had a baby boy.. born 5/11/11 in Phoenix AZ. Dreagen Carlsen Walker weighed in at 7 lbs 12 oz, and is 20" tall.
  • David Whetstone (Susan's son) is engaged to Kari Billman; wedding date is set at 3/3/2012, in Peoria AZ.
  • Dave and Loni Tate have moved from Arizona to Oregon, son Mark is still in Arizona.
  • Dave Tate's son Nicholas is graduating from high school in American Fork, Utah, on June 3rd... spread your wings and fly, Nicholas!
  • Across the pond, Debora Whestone has earned her Bagrut certificate. This is a metriculation certificate, more than a high school diploma, and not everyone passes the certification. So congrats are in order! Debora is currently serving in the Israeli Army - Thank you for your service, Debora!
  • Also, Debora's dad Vernon Whetstone has started a health blog.. go check it out at www.honestabevernon.blogspot.com.

Good afternoon , You note down some great blogs. I check back right here often to find out should you have kept as a good deal as date. I thought you may perhaps want to know, as soon as I select your RSS feed it takes me to one more blog .

As a final note , let me thank you for your understanding with my English as (I am persuaded you have figured this at this time ,), English is not my initial language as a result I am using Google Translate to build out how to record what I actually intend to write .

Saddest News - Melonie Schollmeyer

I don't even know how to write this. We are all so very sad. Melonie Schollmeyer, a vibrant woman, our relative and friend, became suddenly ill over the weekend and passed away. Details at this point are sketchy. **(The following is updated info as of noon Monday)** Melonie's children, Brittany and Robert, just had their Confirmation on Saturday evening. Melonie was not feeling well enough to attend, and stayed at home with flu-like symptoms. Afterward the children, Mary, and Cheryl all visited with Mel before going taking the children to spend the night with Tom. The next day Cheryl and Mary could not raise Melonie by telephone and so asked Tom to go see how she was doing. He did so (thankfully the children stayed in the car) and found Melonie had passed away in the bedroom. The Medical Examiner's Office is doing an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Mary Wroten, Mel's mom, and her sister Cheryl Wroten, are understandably still in somewhat of a shock today. I am ...

Edith Admitted to Hospital Again

Rick reports that his mom had been overdosed on Coumidin - an extremely dangerous anticoagulant drug - and also had an infection going on. Long story short, she is no longer at the physical rehab facility. She has been admitted again back into the hospital where both situations are hopefully being remedied, and she has the love and support of us all. Auntie Edith, hang in there, we all love you!!

Fast Update on Tom Tate

Dad did finally receive a tracheostomy yesterday, so that tube is gone out of his mouth and now sprouts from his chest. They tried to put the feeding tube down his nose but it keeps clogging up so today [or tomorrow] they will insert a port into his stomach... Later today or tomorrow we will start a search of local specialty hospitals that might have the criteria to care for Dad after his discharge from the ICU. I am headed for the hospital now, so please forgive the brevity of this post. Hugs to all, and thank you again for all your prayers. Susan P.S. I am printing out all the wonderful comments to the blog and also the emails I've received from so many, and taking them to Mom to read. It's so encouraging to her to see all the support and love Dad has. God bless you all.
