Catching up on several subjects
I have been remiss. It's been months since I made a posting here, and some have lovingly called it to my attention. So here are a few pertinent updates - holler if you want more info on any of them, *grin* !!
- Mary Wroten is home, and is steadily improving. She is still on oxygen 24/7, but at least she is moving around on her own now, no longer requiring a walker. In fact, just last week Cheryl brought her over to our house for lunch and a lovely visit! Cheryl is the consummate daughter, still devoting her time to her mom, just going to her own home to care for her animals and plants. They are both awesome ladies and I admire them both.
- June Tate-Gans and Rickey Lynn Gans went to Japan and thoroughly fell in love with the country. June went for work, and Rickey tagged along for a week or so of sightseeing. They stayed in a condo in Tokyo and I think the part that intrigued Rickey the most was the wash-and-blow-dry toilets! Those people are CLEAN.
- David Whetstone is out of the Air Force, although he will be serving in the inactive Reserves for a couple of more years. He has taken an EOD contract job in east Texas which should last until mid-fall, then he'll be given another contract elsewhere... Florida? Alaska? Timbuktoo? Who knows, but it's great to be young and ready to travel wherever Life takes you.
- Emily Tate says she is 'staying put' this summer and will not travel around the country visiting children and relatives like she did last year. Robin will be coming to visit her next week, and will stay till Labor Day, which will be lovely!
- Gary and Jessica Whetstone are still living with Emily, but are actively looking for a place of their own now... Emily says, "I guess Jessica wants her own kitchen" and Gary just smiles. Gary's getting quite proficient at his wine-making now. He makes wine about just any kind of fruit, and it is all delicious.
That's about all I can think of at the moment, if I've missed anything else, you can call or email me... or help me make these postings!! Hugs all around to all the Clan, I love you all!
