Reunion Pics... at long last

I know this is looong past due, but I have *finally* compiled a slideshow of some pics of the Family Reunion held in Chicago on July 1, 2007... here is a link:
The pics are not in any order, and some are of the Reunion Day, and some of the days leading up to the reunion. Right now none of them are labelled as to who is who, but I figure you know who you are, ha!
Seriously, I will be working to get them labelled soon. Meantime, enjoy the photos for a little trip down memory lane... or to "meet" some cousins if you didn't make it to the reunion! There are 80-odd pics in the slideshow, but it's the type where you can click the "next" button so you can go as fast or as slow as you want. I reduced the size of each pic so they would not take so long to load on the Internet, but if you want any of the photos in their original large size, just post a comment to this message (below, see where it says "comments") and let me know. Be sure to give me your email address and I will send you the photos requested.
Most of all, a HUGE THANK YOU to Bruce Koenig and Mary Wroten for putting the whole shindig together. It was wonderful fun for everyone who attended. And if you didn't, maybe you'll be inspired to attend next time.

Great pictures! Thanks so much for posting them. I figured out from previous posts who MOST of the people were, but not all. But it was a lot of fun looking for and finding family resemblances... now I wonder if my guesses were right?

Saddest News - Melonie Schollmeyer

I don't even know how to write this. We are all so very sad. Melonie Schollmeyer, a vibrant woman, our relative and friend, became suddenly ill over the weekend and passed away. Details at this point are sketchy. **(The following is updated info as of noon Monday)** Melonie's children, Brittany and Robert, just had their Confirmation on Saturday evening. Melonie was not feeling well enough to attend, and stayed at home with flu-like symptoms. Afterward the children, Mary, and Cheryl all visited with Mel before going taking the children to spend the night with Tom. The next day Cheryl and Mary could not raise Melonie by telephone and so asked Tom to go see how she was doing. He did so (thankfully the children stayed in the car) and found Melonie had passed away in the bedroom. The Medical Examiner's Office is doing an autopsy to determine the cause of death. Edith Admitted to Hospital Again

Rick reports that his mom had been overdosed on Coumidin - an extremely dangerous anticoagulant drug - and also had an infection going on. Long story short, she is no longer at the physical rehab facility. She has been admitted again back into the hospital where both situations are hopefully being remedied, and she has the love and support of us all. Auntie Edith, hang in there, we all love you!!

Fast Update on Tom Tate

Dad did finally receive a tracheostomy yesterday, so that tube is gone out of his mouth and now sprouts from his chest. They tried to put the feeding tube down his nose but it keeps clogging up so today [or tomorrow] they will insert a port into his stomach... Later today or tomorrow we will start a search of local specialty hospitals that might have the criteria to care for Dad after his discharge from the ICU. I am headed for the hospital now, so please forgive the brevity of this post. Hugs to all, and thank you again for all your prayers. Susan P.S. I am printing out all the wonderful comments to the blog and also the emails I've received from so many, and taking them to Mom to read. It's so encouraging to her to see all the support and love Dad has. God bless you all.
